UPDATE #2: M.E. Sprengelmeyer gives the Tancredo contest some love over at his blog “Back Roads to the White House”
UPDATE: The contest closes tonight at Midnight, so get those guesses in to the comments section below.
The Iowa Straw Poll takes place this Saturday, and it has traditionally served as a good barometer of what will happen in the Iowa Caucus in January.
With candidates scrambling to turn people out to the (straw) polls, including offering Capitol/capital tours, we thought it would be a good time for a little contest…
As always, we play by Price is Right rules (closest without going over), and the winning entry will receive a free small button ad on Colorado Pols for one week; you can do whatever you want with the ad, with a few exceptions (we’re not advertising your favorite porn site, for example).
So here’s the question:
How many votes will Colorado’s own Tom Tancredo receive at the Iowa Straw Poll on Saturday?
Hint: There were 23,685 votes cast in the last GOP Iowa Straw Poll in 1999. There may be as many as 50,000 votes cast this year.
The contest closes at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, so get those votes in. We’ll announce the winner as soon as the final Iowa Straw Poll results are made public. Submit your entry in the comments section below.
